OUR STORY

We started with a seed.
Today we are a forest.

In 1997 we opened with a handful of children and a simple idea: that learning should feel like play. Almost three decades later we are just as convinced, now in two languages and all the way to eleventh grade.

FROM 1997 TO TODAY

Every stage made us the school we are.

1997

Semillitas de Saber

We opened our doors with an innovative, creative and playful approach, offering preschool.

2002

The start of a new era: Gimnasio Superior Nuevos Andes

The families' trust consolidated a new educational vision: the project evolved, we grew into elementary and Gimnasio Superior Nuevos Andes was born — a community focused on whole-person formation and the beginning of a stage of growth that has not stopped.

2020

High school and bilingualism

We expanded to middle and high school, and earned our recognition as a bilingual school.

2026

We reached the vision we set

We set out to be a bilingual school with national and international recognition. Today we are one of the 31 Cambridge schools in the country, our students get certified in English and travel to London and Paris. Goal met.

Today

On to what comes next

We are advancing our ICONTEC quality certification and we have already written the vision that will move us to 2035.

Institutional horizon

We know where we are going.

Who we are, where we are heading, and what we have already achieved.

Mission

Shaping people, not just students.

We are a certified national bilingual institution that shapes people through a pedagogical process that fully develops competencies, skills and values. We form leaders with a critical and investigative spirit, with English as a foreign language and technology as a learning tool, able to work as a team and make autonomous, fair and responsible decisions.

Vision 2035

A benchmark for bilingual education with purpose.

By 2035 we will be a national and international reference in bilingual education with purpose: a community where every student graduates with Cambridge C1 certification, outstanding ICFES results and the conviction that their leadership transforms their surroundings.

2026 vision achieved

We reached the vision we set for 2026: today we are a bilingual school with national recognition. So we set a new one.

Quality policy

Continuous improvement as a way of working.

We prepare leaders, builders of a new generation. We do it with modern facilities, a skilled team and continuous improvement as our way of working.

HOW WE TEACH

We are not interested in memorizing.
We are interested in understanding.

Our method has two schools of thought that complement each other: Teaching for Understanding, which asks them to explain, apply and create with what they learn, and the Reggio Emilia philosophy in preschool, where play, art and questions are the method.

Teaching for Understanding

Knowing is not enough. You have to explain it, apply it and create something new with it.

Reggio Emilia philosophy

In preschool the classroom is a third teacher: everything invites you to explore and ask.

Four promises we review every single day.

01

Happy human beings

Who show their values in every decision.

02

Certified C1 English

By graduation, backed by Cambridge.

03

Academic excellence

With an A+ in the ICFES as our stated goal.

04

Leaders who build

A new generation for the country.

OUR PILLARS

Six pillars that are lived, not recited.

Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. We teach them, we apply them, we advocate for them and, above all, we model them.

Trustworthiness

Loyalty, honesty and the moral courage to do what is right.

Respect

The golden rule, tolerance and consideration for others.

Responsibility

Perseverance, self-control and self-discipline.

Fairness

Sharing, playing fair and keeping an open mind.

Caring

Kindness, compassion, gratitude and forgiveness.

Citizenship

Taking part in the community and caring for what is shared.

Our principles: respect for human dignity, democratic participation, equity and freedom.

WHO WALKS BESIDE THEM

Behind every achievement there is someone who believed first.

Services

Everything that happens around the classroom.

A school is not just classroom hours. This is what holds up your child's day, from the first route to the last bell.

Restaurant A balanced, supervised lunch, every single day.
School shop Snacks and supplies at hand, without leaving school.
Packed lunch If you would rather send it from home, that works too.
School transport Our own routes. At the session we tell you if we cover your area.
Nursing Care at school when something happens. And something always happens.
School guidance A team that looks after what a report card never shows.
Psychology Professional support inside the school, no need to look outside.
Parents school Because raising kids has no manual either. Training for the family.
PIAR support An individual plan of reasonable adjustments for whoever needs it.

The restaurant menu is published every month so you know what your child is having for lunch.

Our campuses

Three campuses, one school.
